The Microret® procedure consists of:
- Calculating the level of retention for braces placed on the market by using a mathematical formula. This formula takes account of the coefficient of roughness of the brace. The objective is to reduce the risk of bond failure during treatment (low retention) without making the brace more difficult to detach (excessive retention),
- Determining whether it is appropriate to carry out micro-etching,
- Determining the correct process for micro-etching and the intensity of the process,
- Carrying out the Microret procedure when necessary or as an option at the request of the practitioner.
On request, we help manufacturers to calculate the level of retention of their braces at the design stage.
